Everything we need to turn one of your designs into a card people can send from Gift List. It takes one image and one line of text.
A card arrives as a sealed envelope. The recipient taps it, the card slides out and they see the front — your artwork, and nothing else. They tap again and the card opens, showing the printed inside line (the punchline, if the card has one) above whatever message the sender wrote.
One image per card, portrait.
Send it anyway. We pad it out to the card shape by extending the outermost edge pixels — nothing is ever cropped. That's invisible on a flat background or a clean horizon, but a busy pattern running off the edge will streak, so square or panoramic art with detail at the edges is worth reframing before sending. Keep anything important away from the very edge: padding adds space above and below.
If your artwork exists as a print PDF, send that. Outside spreads are normal — we take the right-hand panel as the front and discard the back cover, barcode and FSC marks. Bleed and crop marks are fine. Don't flatten your branding or a price onto the front panel.
Send this as plain text, not as part of an image. It's typeset live on the page, so it stays sharp at any size, wraps properly on a phone, and can be read by screen readers and search engines.
For example, a front reading “spooning is great…” would have an inside line of “but forking is better”. It appears above the sender's message with a dividing rule. If your card has nothing printed inside, just say none — plenty of cards say everything on the front.
Per card, we need four things:
love-hurts.png, lowercase with hyphens)We pick the envelope colour from your artwork so the two sit together, but if the card has a signature colour, tell us and we'll use it.
Only send work you own or have permission to license. You keep the copyright —
we're asking for permission to show it as a sendable card on Gift List,
credited to you, and we'll remove it on request. Cards are private links, not public
pages: they're noindex, and each one is deleted automatically after a year.
